In the tales and legends of Sosaria, long has it been spoken about a group of ancients who once roamed the earth. These ancients created two books to keep the world in balance. One was the Tome of the Virtues, a verse rendering of the embodiment of the virtues, and the second was the Tome of the Dark Paths, an equally lyrical book about the dark side. Recently, Amrinth Takhista of the Spiritwood Tavern, cousin to Rilla the gypsy whom some of you may remember, has led us to the first fragment of the ancient Tome of the Virtues. There has been much speculation about what would happen if the book was restored. Some believe it would sway the balance of the world to the side of virtue. Others say that it would have great power for those who held it. We cannot be sure that we can find all the fragments. We cannot be sure that once they are found, we will be able to restore the book to what it once was. Yet the forces of good must surely try to recover this valuable piece.

Within each fragment three is a clue to where the next fragment may be found, but they are very difficult clues. It would take great minds, and great heroes to find and reassemble this book, of that we are sure.
