It was one of these evenings, after an exhausting travel at the desert,
when a pigeon from the Merchant arrived at my window. After reading the note I left to the Tavern. There sat
Videric and the fair Dardan, obviously discussing about the next Caravan. They introduced me into their plan to
transport the goods and wares at a separated route. So that eventually showing up Orcs or vile brigands would just find
empty packhorses. It was an honour for me to take over the part of transporting and ensured them that with a little
team the goods would reach their destination of Spiritwood safely.
At the day the Caravan should leave I asked Destester, Eslana and her friend Zuleika if they would like to protect
the goods at the way to Spiritwood. The two archers and I met then at the Art School, while the mage would meet us
later at Skara Brae. We took the to deliver chest from the Merchant and set the sails even before the others left
at the land route.
Soon the last roofs of Deepwater vanished behind the trees, and we sailed into the large Yew bay. After a few miles
a few dolphins showed up and joined us till we reached the open sea. This we noticed with delight, due that these
animals at the seamen are known as good luck-signs. The wind blow up, the colour of the water changed from a
greenblue to a deep dark blue and white full sails we travelled along the Yew forest. Once the man at the top of
the mast reported a water element, but this time we had more important things to do, and didn't wanted to take any
risks. Without any further reports from above we passed the Yew Abbey where the monks collected the first grapes.
Then we let the Court and its Prison behind us and turned to the South. With a continuing strong wind the roofs of
Skara Brae appeared after a few hours at the horizon. With the last sunbeams we reached the docks at the continent-side
of Skara Brae, where Destester was already waiting for us.
After we had rested a few hours and ate a few ribs, we sat again in the saddles of our mounts and rode to the East.
In the early morning hours we reached the Town of Spiritwood. The other part of the Caravan hadn't reached since yet,
so we took gladly the offer from Fenris and the tavernkeeper to refresh us at the local Tavern. As the sun climbed
into the zenith we heard the sounds of an approaching large group. Out of the woods came the Caravan, marked by a
long and exhausting travel. It was time to gave Videric the Merchant the chest and to thank you my fellows at the
Escort. The market day could begin now.
