As I approached the tavern yesterday eve I could sense foul beings in the near forest but nothing was obvious to the eye. I went
inside and stabled my newly acquired steed in the back room where he would be safe. We sat there conversing for a few
moments. It was a man whom I did nay know the name of and Yatermie who exchanged pleasantries.
Suddenly the doors to the tavern flew open and a wind filled with the foul stench of death came flowing in. Outside we could
see the haunting shadows of dead bodies dragging themselves towards the tavern using their unlife as energy. Behind them
walked the lich that controlled them. I have stopped the liches in the caverns of Wind from enter the city so many times that I
ran out without fear. The warriors assaulted the undead bodies while I attacked their master. We were winning quite rapidly but
then, from the forest, came the appearance of utter death. He was tall and horrible to view. The undeads masters master. The
lord of liches came walking with a broad grin on his face. I felt the blood in my veins freeze as I sent a paralyzing spell towards
the new fiend of hell.
The battle raged for a long time outside the tavern, in the end we were three that battled him. One was knocked unconscious
by the lords undead magic but in the end we were victorious. After having tended to our worst wounds I noted a crumbled note
in the hand of the undead.
The note brought warning to us. Mayhap the evil mages of Frabagor has found a new ally. Mayhap the evil sources has brought
up a new fiend to battle against us. One thing is clear. We need to keep a close eye on the woods to the west, from which the
liches came. The crypts has awakened once more. We battled his embodiment yesterday eve, but his spirit is still alive in the
horrific unlife from which it draws its power.
