UD, The undead have been added to links page:
The Undead -Undeads that worships The Guardian above all.
There is one specific reason, why I mention this here, as I do not usually mention link updates here. It is totally impossible for me to keep updated linkdatabase all RP guilds around, so I would like to encourage everyone to send their guild's link here, in case it is missing.
If I start getting a lot of emails, I will begin "the RP website of week" program, and I introduce briefly one site per week.
So what you get is free advertice for your guild website, so perhaps consider? |

From Greyburn updated us about new 3d avatars on the boards:
Hail Hengslift.
We're still working hard on the new avatar art for the 3D client (i.e. humans and their clothing / armor). We have done a first pass on everything, but we still have a lot of work ahead of us. We have more or less reworked all of the code related to clothing as well as creating new art. So we are going over everything with a fine toothed comb, because we want to be sure we have everything rock solid before we release it.
We are also looking at some new run and walk animations for your avatars. So you have something to look forward to in that department, too! :)
We're all very excited about the way the new art is turning out and can't wait to show it to all of you! Several of us "red names" are spending all or most of our time on getting this done, so while I can't give a firm ETA right now you should be aware that this is a very high priority for us right now.
and
Violator, I didn't say that ALL of the devs were spending time on the new graphics, just a few of us. :b None of the people who are working on the new avatar graphics are the same people who take care of the areas you mention. There are a lot of people on the dev team, and likewise there are a lot of different high priority tasks being worked on at this very moment. I'm really not sure what kind of attention the things you mentioned are getting right now (my brain is intently focused on the avatars at the moment). :) UO is huge, and there are a thousand things worth devoting time to. It's rarely easy for us to choose which 6 or 7 areas of the game are most in need of our attention at any given time, but we do our best.
Ravenspyre, I don't know of any plans to activate the animations you mention (in fact, I didn't even know we had them but don't use them). They really fall into a different category than the new run / walk animations (i.e. replacing old anim files vs. adding code to use anims that aren't currently used).

 | About coming potery plants -Videric | |
From Augur:
Just to clear a few things up since there have been a lot of threads on this topic : when/if the plant system goes in, it will not use any of the old potted plant art (from rewards/gifts/etc.)
Plants being grown start out as empty plant bowls (grey bowl art piece), then bowls of dirt (bowl of potatoes art), then bowls with green leafyness (bowl of lettuce art), and then once the plant is Full Grown, it uses all the assorted non-bowled plant art types in the game (cactii, campion flowers, fern, snake plant, small palm, etc.), dependant on the seed type that was used.
There is never an instance where a piece of plant art that is already gainable in the game at this time or in the past is used (at least I can't remember any time players have been able to get plant art that's not in a bowl).
In terms of skills needed, you may "need" alchemy in order to have potions to use on your plant, but you could always buy those potions from other players. You don't need alchemy or any other skill to actually use the potions on the plant.
Hope that helps clear things up/allay any fears, :)

 | Michael “Ignatz” Farone interviews Uzeraan -Videric | |
What do we learn? At least that the writer could not determin if to write in character or not... It constantly speaks of players and UO while refereing UO designers as citizens. Otherwise it is more directed to new players.
