The really Old times Call me sentimental but I felt it was time to show honour to two years old event on Atlantic -shard. I am talking of no other than the Midwinter Ball, one of the first big player made events. Although I was not myself there I know the people who were and prepared all. This is a living reminder how people can arrange really great events with good plot. Names like Vaughn Glowember, Aimeric, Madeline, Luthien and Marcus might not mean much to you, but it was because of these people who introduced me to how fun roleplayer community can be. You probably notice interesting things like seer robe colour and famous people of the past like the Hulkster and Faust. The original story which was published on "the Quill" and later on "The Hope Newspaper" can be read here for this week only: The Midwinter Ball

UO2 story and comments The story on the all new Ultima Online 2 site is in my opinion quite promising one. It does not at least seem like the rather too black and white story of Ascension, no it seems like much deeper one, although in massive multiplayer game the depth of fiction depends much of the player him/herself. It will be rather difficult for everyone to be the Avatar in the same world.
Please read the story on UO2.com before reading onwards And it is now to be confirmed that Ultima Online 2 will look much like Ascension in perspective of the gameplay. As a person who has played Ascension all the way to the end, I think it might be a good choise. The world seems very beatiful indeed, an you feel more inside it. However Britannia has to be at least 20 times bigger than in Ascension, but I am sure the UO2-team might forsee that the game will have quite a lot of population. Even though the engines of Ascension and UO2 are not same, I really hope that the beauty of Ascension will be moved to UO2, do you remember the sunsets? Cities like Britain and Moonglow were so beatiful.
Trade Caravan pages down and some rules 1. No Summoning! This means no summoned pets or elementals, raise your magery elsewhere, please. 2. In case of fight between ERPA members (like roleplayed orcs attacking), do not take part of the action if your blue. Do not even heal people on your own side as it upsets the blance of a fight. If you wish to be part of ERPA just go to links section and learn more. 3. No large pets. (ruins the fun for other protectors are pets like Dragons kill everything and blocks the line sight from others)

Ultima Online 2 I think most of you have seen the new rendered not-game-screenshot of Ultima Online 2. I think a short analyse is in order. Virtues are certainly in as we can see the ankh at the background (also www.uo2.com speaks the quest of Avatar). The metal handed snake like creature seems like same race as Captain Dasha. So maybe there creatures are from Britannian's future? This would make sense as according to a rumour, world of Ultima Online 2 is combination of Britannian's past, present and future because of an catalyst of some sort. It is sure that Ultima Online 2 will be different than UO1, but brave new plot might not be bad thing... we shall see. The picture can be found at: Nethergate.

We will be carring mainly food and supplies, but because of the high change of ambush I must ask volanteer guards to protect us to insure we reach Trinsic.
